The Grand Oaks HS Dedication ceremony will be Monday, October 22, 2018 at 7:00 PM.
The choir has been invited to perform the Star Spangled Banner and School Song. Students who are available need to be in attendance. I understand this is last moment as final details have been ongoing leading up to the dedication. Parents are also invited to attend the dedication as it is open to the public.
Students who are singing should meet in the choir room from 5:00 – 5:30 PM the afternoon of the event. At 5:30 we will join with the orchestra students to rehearse the school song. We will be performing together at the end of the ceremony. After the rehearsal we will make our way to the auditorium to rehearse and find our seats.
Attire for the event will be: CHOIR SHIRT, NICE BLUE JEANS, and CLOSED TOED SHOES
Hair: Needs to be styled back from the face and up as much as possible (braids, pony tails, neat buns, headbands, etc.)
Jewelry: Chains/necklaces must be tucked inside the shirt. Bracelets, bands, etc. must be off of the arms. Earrings must be small and non-distracting.
The goal of a uniform is to be as together as possible and with a school dedication we all must be neat and respectful in our appearances.
Students WILL NOT be allowed to stay after school for this performance. They will need to be dropped off at the school between 5 and 5:30. Thank you for understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mr. Smith.
